London Day Two

Today was a very nice day in London. The highlight was our private “Black Cab” tour of “London’s Hidden Treasures”. Our driver was Richard and he as a spectacular guide. He took us to see some very cool things such as:

  • Buildings from the 1600’s
  • St Paul’s Cathedral
  • Methodist Central Hall
  • The changing of the guard (see video)
  • St James Street where we saw wonderful shops like – Custom shoe store, hatter, boutique whiskey

Bob had to leave the tour early to go to work. The rest went to the covered gardens near our hotel for a lovely lunch. They also had a good opportunity to take a nap. Later, we all met at the Westminster Abbey for a Christmas concert. The acoustics were amazing.

Quick note from Gladys: Thank you all so much for your comments. You are wonderful. We look forward to reading them together each day. Wouldn’t trade where I live for anything.

  1. Dear Ray and Gladys, You and your Family are definetly seeing all the great history when there is a monarchy that has been in power for centuries. We hope you get invited into one of the palaces and get to meet Prince Charles or maybe the Queen herself, just kidding. Thank you for the wonderful pictures and videos of the sights, glad you all were able to enjoy the concert. We hope you and your Family are having a grand time and enjoy the entire trip. Everyone from our little church is so happy for your travels and can’t wait to hear all about your experiences . Ray I tried to post funny church signs but can not succeed, thought you would get a chuckle. Please tell your Family of our Love for you and them for making this trip possible. Love you and Safe Travels willy and Sue hoecherl
