Day 3

Well, day 3 done and 7 .days to  go. Today, we took a tour along the Amalfi coast. We had Franco again as a driver (we think we have a reputation as big tippers, excluding Bob). Stunning views and one hell of a drive on narrow roads hundreds of feet up along the cliffs. Cars and scooters versus tour buses. The girls were nervous, but Barry put them at ease by riding in the trunk. The town of Ravello was old and beautiful with a very old church and square with restaurants and shops. The city of Amalfi was overcrowded and conjested, but the gelato was good.

We took a side trip at a famous manufacturer of hand painted ceramic tile, Unfortunately, we had credit cards! Bob wanted to buy more, but Lynn cut him off. We can only hope we get our shipments in 6 months in good condition. Otherwise, we have no alternative but to go back and return the items.

Bob took a walk on the Path of Gods, a true test of character. he will post separately on his adventurer.

Tomorrow we’re off to Capri, including a Blue Grotto visit. Then, off to the villa in Umbria.

See pictures below and we’ll keep you posted, Barry
