GRASP

Graphical Space Viewer (GRASP) is a program I originally wrote about 20 years ago. The purpose is to find what’s consuming all the space on your computer. You need to remember that 20 years ago, computers only had 120 MEGA-bytes (120,000,000). Now my cell phone has 32 GIGA-bytes (32,000,000,000). My home computer can hold 3 TERA-bytes (3,000,000,000,000)

GRASP has been through multiple permutations:

  • It started as a DOS batch file.
  • Then when Windows came out, I ported it to Quick-C language.
  • Later I updated it to Microsoft Visual C.
  • Finally, the current version supports very large disks.

You can download it here.
